Dr. Duc Khuong Nguyen holds a MSc and a PhD in Finance from the University of Grenoble Alpes (France) and obtains his HDR (Habilitation for Supervising Doctoral Research) in Management Sciences in June 2009. Mrs. Christy Le (Lê Diệp Kiều Trang) is Founder of Alabaster, a company that invests in founders building radical solutions for problems that can have a positive, planet-level impact. Christy focuses on working with Vietnamese entrepreneurs and growing the startup ecosystem in Vietnam.
Previously, she served as CEO of Go-Viet, an affiliate of GOJEK Group, which is an on-demand multi-service platform providing a range of services including transportation, logistics, food delivery and payments.
Before Go-Viet, she served as Country Director for Vietnam at Facebook. In her role, she led the team to focus on driving greater value and support for businesses across a number of industries in Vietnam, including eCommerce, consumer goods and services, financial services, technology, and telecommunications.
Prior to Facebook, Christy was the Managing Director of Fossil Vietnam and VP of Operations of Fossil Group, which acquired Misfit for $260M in 2015. At Misfit, a Silicon Valley startup that developed and marketed a number of award-winning wearable and smart home technology products, she was the CFO and COO from the company’s founding until its acquisition. The company leveraged its R&D and operations teams in Vietnam, China and the US to quickly grow to be a global leader in wearables in less than three years. Dr. Nguyen-Phuong-Mai is Associate Professor at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences where she does research and teaches Cross-Cultural Management. In the last few years, she has taken interest in cultural neurosciences together with her study at King's College London in a Master program on Applied Neuroscience. Her latest book Cross-Cultural Management with Insights from Brain Science incorporates contribution from other fields to the discussion. Dr. NGUYEN Nhu Van is currently a researcher and an instructor at ANR join lab Sail, La Rochelle university. He’s the co-founder cum director of research and innovation at Brickin’Up, a startup in France. Dr. Nguyen Nhu Van is also the founder of DopikAI Lab which provides AI solutions in Computer Vision and NLP domains .

Dr. Huan X. Nguyen received the B.Sc. degree with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2006. He was with several universities in U.K., including a Research Officer with Swansea University from 2007 to 2008 and a Lecturer with Glasgow Caledonian University from 2008 to 2010. He is currently an Associate Professor of communication networks and Head of 5G & IoT Research Group within the Faculty of Science and Technology, Middlesex University, London, U.K. He is member of the Faculty Research and Knowledge Transfer Committee and is currently coordinating the UK’s Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) team within the department.
His research interests include communications for critical applications, 5G and Internet of Things, machine learning and artificial intelligent for communications, and digital twin. He has published over 100 research papers, mainly in the IEEE journals and conferences. He has secured multiple large-size research grants from the Newton Fund and research councils in the UK, including several projects on 5G/smart transportation, digital twin modelling and research capacity building for academics with partners from universities in Vietnam. He is the Chair of the 2019 26th International Conference on Telecommunications (ICT 2019) and Co-Chair of the 2017 International Workshop on 5G Networks for Public Safety and Disaster Management (IWNPD 2017).
He is currently serving as an Editor for the KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems and the REV Journal on Electronics and Communications. Quy took the initiative in Blockchain For Healthcare Project in Vietnam with many hospitals, City Health Departments and will help to drive the project Blockchain4Healthcare with the Ministry of Health in Vietnam.

Thanh Trung Do studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated in 2006 with a degree in electrical engineering and high-voltage engineering. Tam Vu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the
University of Oxford, UK and University of Colorado Boulder. He has found and
been directing Mobile and Networked Systems Laboratory (MNS), where his team is
focusing on building wireless and embedded systems to capture the surrounding
physical and human context, secure critical cyber-physical systems, and provide
seamless network connectivity for CPS at the presence of mobility. These
systems gravitate around health-care systems, smart buildings, transportation
systems, and smart and connected cities.
His trailblazing contributions in the field lay a scientific foundation for a
new type of embedded systems, called Earable Systems, which are robust,
efficient, and effective ear-worn sensing and stimulation devices for long-term
and unobtrusive healthcare and brain-computer interactions. In addition to
that, he has been leading multiple projects supported by government agencies
and industry with the total funding amount of more than $7.5M. The research
outcomes of his lab are published in highly selective venues such as ACM
MobiCom, ACM MobiSys, ACM Sensys, ACM SIGMETRICS, ACM CCS, among other venues.
Together with his collaborators, he has received a number of recognitions in
embedded system research community including a Sloan Fellowship, NSF CAREER
award, two (02) Google Faculty Awards, and eleven (11) best paper awards,
research highlights, and best paper award nominees in flagship venues such as
ACM SenSys, MobiCom, and MobiSys. He founded two (02) startups and attracted
external investments to turn his research results into commercial solutions
based on the patents that he filed. His works also received wide press coverage
including Denver post, CNN TV, Fox News Channel, National Public Radio (NPR),
The NY Times, The Wall Street Journal, MIT TechReview, and Yahoo! News.
In addition to working on the cutting-edge research, he has been extensively
involved in the Mobile System research community services, serving in the
organizing team of MobiCom, MobiSys, SenSys, and IPSN, co-chairs for two
workshops, delivering two keynotes speech at MobiHoc and SenSys workshops,
chairing many technical sessions, being technical program committee member for
first-tier conferences, and top-tier mobile computing journals. Last but not
least, he is actively pushing his research outcomes to practice through
technology transfer activities with 25 patents filed and formed two startups
(Now Vitals Inc, and Earable Inc) to commercialize them.

Vietnam Global Science and Experts Association (AVSE Global) was established on May 21, 2011 in France. AVSE unites prestigious scientists and senior experts of various fields across over 20 countries to contribute to Vietnam’s development.
